So are you tired of chemicals and want to try the natural way? Excellent!
I have been dying hair with henna for the past 15 years. Here are some answers to questions I get a lot. If you want more info, you can visit

- The reason people think henna is unsafe or bad for hair is because some manufacturers of so-called henna add chemicals or metallic salts to the henna to make it dye the hair different colors. To avoid this problem I use only pure body art quality henna for all of my services. Look here for more info.
- Pure henna only dyes hair a copper red. If you hear henna can dye other colors it is because something has been added to the henna.
- It is perfectly safe to dye over body art quality henna with synthetic hair dye. The only thing to keep in mind is that henna is an intense red pigment. It is very hard to dye hair blonde after having a henna treatment.
- Pure henna helps to condition the hair. It does not leave it dry or unhealthy.
- Pure henna makes grey hair a lovely copper shade. When mixed with indigo it can darken the hair to brunette or black. That being said, it often takes several applications to get a very dark color. On the rare occasion that the hair is very resistant the henna and indigo will only blend the grey, not fully cover it, even after multiple applications. Look here for more info.
